Area 51 - The Back Gate

Here we are at the "back gate" of the base.  This is a proper barrier and fence - no shitting around here - if you duck under the barriers you're done for probably.
There are loads of warning signs all over the place, just in case you didn't get the idea you weren't very welcome.

Nobody seemed home.

I really don't do great poses - but hey - I was standing right next to the USA's most secretive base at the height of a terror alert in the country.
Could be worse... maybe?!

I was never good at taking in signs - what did that say about photography?  Dunno.. I'll take a photo and read that one later...
"$1000 fine - six months imprisonment or both" the sign reads.  If only I had went on the Black Jack tables the night before...

We had visitors - parked in the middle of the road - lights on - who were they kidding?  Like we didn't know who they were?

Now there's subtle surveillance and there's this. Yah - like we're not gonna notice you guys!

Dang!  Foiled again.. And here we were thinking we could flank them and sneak onto the base undetected.
A rather obvious ..something.  Probably doesn't do anything but then again, not really worth finding out either.  We gave them the benefit of the doubt on this one.

I think they were bored and out to have a laugh - mind you they did take a photo or two of us.  Note there's no license plate on the Chevy - funny that.
